Angelina

In 1903, Austrian confectioner Anton Rumpelmayer arrived in the South of France, where he opened a number of "Rumpelmayer" stores and became a household name. Encouraged by his success, he set out to conquer the French capital. Together with his son René, he founded the "Angelina" tea room at 226 rue de Rivoli, in honor of his daughter-in-law Angeline.
